Project Goal:
The goal for The IDEA Pilot is to investigate:
     - The use of technology outside of the classroom by students and
        the impact on their learning.
     - The impact of student engagement with multi-media and it's
        impact on their learning.
     - The impact of multi-media options for teachers and it's
        contribution to innovative teaching practice.

For technology to impact learning, it must be an intregal part of the learning process.  The technology itself must be transparent to the content and thrust of education.

Definition of Terms:

Personal Learning Device (PLD): A small portable computer device that allows for the multi-media presentation of relevant educational content.

IPOD: A PLD manfactured by the Apple Computer Company.

NANO: A PLD manfactured by the Apple Computer Company.

Itouch: A PLD manfactured by the Apple Computer Company.

PODcast: A multi-media presentation downloaded to a PLD.
